 Alexander Lukashenko, the President of the Republic of Belarus, participated in the awarding ceremony where the best athletes were granted with the festive medals. Among those who were awarded with the medals “For Great Achievement in Career” were Nikolay Banko and Gennady Galitsky, head trainers of the Belarusian national team, Marina Litvinchuck and Olga Hudenko, athletes-instructors.

6th Turov Eparchial Readings

 On October 25, 2019 the 6th Eparchial Readings were held at the premises of Philology Department, MSPU named after I.P.Shamyakin. This year the readings were devoted to the Great Patriotic War, out heritage and the heritors. Tatsiana Paliyeva, Vice-Rector for Research, opened the event and greeted all the participants. Tatsiana Symanovich, Dean of the Philology Department, took the floor and announced the plan of the event. The dean singled out that the cooperation with Turov bishopric was of great value for everybody at the University. Innovative and Methodology Center for Spiritual – Moral and Civil-Patriotic Educational on the basis of the Orthodox traditions of the Belarusians was opened. This year more than 205 teachers and pupils participated in the event.

ART CONTEST OF YOUNG PAINTERS

 On October 01 – 07, 2019 Art contest of young painters from the Commonwealth of Independent States was held in Baku, Azerbaijan. More than 2000 painters from Azerbaijan, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tadjikistan, Uzbekistan, Georgia, Turkmenistan Estonia, Turkey took part in the competition. The Jury chose 100 best pictures and exhibited them in the hall. Ekaterina Efimenko, an MSPU graduate (2017) and Anastasia Perets, a 2nd year student, participated in the contest and got the certificates and great experience in the international project participation. The students prepared their art work (“Summer mood” and “Asters”) under the assistance of A. Klevzhits, a Head teacher, Chair of Technological Education, Member of the Belarusian Union of Painters.
