MSPU students from Philology Faculty majoring in “History and Social Sciences” visited the press iron museum. There were 400 press irons. The main peculiarity of this exhibition was to arrange the press irons according to the technological approaches of heating. It is interesting to mention that nowadays a press iron is a household tool typically used for ironing, but in ancient time press irons were used for ironing, waffle cooking, cracking nuts, mashing garlic and catching mice. The 2nd and the 3rd year students were amazed by the exhibition, because they got to know something new and extraordinary about a well-known thing.
