GENOCIDE OF THE BELARUSSIANS: WE WILL NEVER FORGET

photoSergey Sinitsky, Attorney of Mozyr District, a Councillor of Justice, visited MSPU named after I.P.Shamyakin to take part at the discussion “Genocide of the Belarussians: we will never forget”. Sergey Sinitsky made a retrospective journey into the history and spoke about the criminal investigations against the Genocide of the Belarussians.

In his turn, Sergey Telepen, PhD in History, Associate Professor, Department of History and Social Studies, delivered the report devoted to the actions which had to be done to stop the Nazism and the current issues of social and political life in Belarus.

Elena Barsuk, PhD in History, Associate Professor, Department of History and Social Studies, presented her report devoted to the statistical data regarding the victims from the village Ozarichy who died in the death camp. Elena Barshuk added that our commitment was to remember about the people who were killed by the punitive expeditioners and the collaborationists during the Great Patriotic War and to pass this memory across the generations.

These kinds of events are treated as a part of a big project when the students get informed about the true social and political environment in the country, about the possibility to stop any attempts to rehabilitate the Nazism, the necessity to be aware of your History and develop the skills for the analysis of the information presented in the mass media.
