PROJECT “WARM BOOK”

PROJECT “WARM BOOK”

photoThe quantity of people who have physical disorders is increasing. Defective vision is the most frequent disorder among kids nowadays. While teaching such kids it is important to give pride of place to the following analyzers i.e. an acoustic analyzer, an olfactory analyzer, a sensorimotor analyzer, a taste analyzer. Tactile perception as a key element of a skin-mechanical analyzer and a motor analyzer plays a crucial role in the formation of the perception of the world around us. The social and educational project “Warm Book” satisfies the needs mentioned above. “Warm book” is a tactile book which helps a kid with visual disorders to build proper perception of the outer world.

Dmitry Trofimov, a 5 th year student, Part-time studies, Faculty of Preschool and Elementary Education, started to produce tactile books for the kids with visual disorders.

This project was treated as the best project of 2018 among other projects which were involved in the State Youth Project “100 ideas for Belarus” in the category “Society, Economics and Social Sphere”.

In 2019 the project “Warm book” was awarded with the Diploma of the second grade in the National competition for the better activity practice for pupils who attended the schools on Saturdays.

In 2021 Dmitry Trofimov was awarded by the Diploma of the metropolitan Filaret in the category “The best innovation project of the year”./p>

The Project “Warm book” is a scientifically based tool for the development and teaching of kids; it promotes the kids to adapt themselves to the social realm and to cooperate with it.
