Today, on the 31st of August, the students and the graduates of our University have won two silver medals in rowing and canoeing at the world championships in Duisburg (Germany).
Today, on the 31st of August, the students and the graduates of our University have won two silver medals in rowing and canoeing at the world championships in Duisburg (Germany).
The students of EI MSPU named after I. P. Shamyakin Pavel Medvedev and Oleg Yurenya, have brought the first silver medal for the National team in a kayak pairs at a distance of 1000 meters. Our boys finished the race with a result of 03:23:002. They only yield the championship to the German crew (03:22:331). Hungarian rowers took third place in this race (03:23:021).
Later, the graduates of our university Dmitry Ryabchenko and Denis Garaga with Dmitry Voytishkin and Alexander Volchetskij won another silver medal in the canoe-four at a distance of 1000 meter. Their result is - 03:29:297. Gold medal in this race went to the hosts of the championship. Their time is 03:28:502. Hungarian crew was awarded with a bronze medal (03:30:568).
