3rd Polesye Regional Forum

On March 26 – 27, 2015 the 3^rd Polesye Regional Forum was held at Establishment of Education “Mozyr State Pedagogical University named after I.P.Shamyakin”. This campaign was confined to the 70^th anniversary of the Great Patriotic War and the Year of Youth.

First secretaries of regional committees of Public Association “Belarusian State Youth Union” (Gomel Region), representatives of Gomel Committee “BSYU”, students from Mozyr and attendees of “Mozyr Center of Children and Youth’s Creativity” took part in the forum.

The Forum was held in the form of an open dialogue “Youth of Belarus: traditions and future”. First of all the words of salutation were given to Valentin Valetov, Rector of MSPU named after I.P.Shamyakin, Igor Zavaley, First Secretary of Gomel Regional Committee of “BSYU”, Iryna Mironycheva, Chief of Ideology and Cultute Office (Mozyr Executive Committee), Lubov Klepchukova, Chief of Education, Sport and Tourism Department (Mozyr Executive Committee), Olga Artemenko, Chairman of Mozyr District Veteran Union. Victoria Korzun, Chairman of Student Self-Administration, and Tatsiana Palieva, Dean of Pre-university Tuition and Professional Guidance Department, delivered the reports.

One of the most significant events in the forum was Expo - Competition “How young people see the world”. Project “I love Belarus!” won the first prize (Philology Department, MSPU named after I.P.Shamyakin). The second prize was given to the Gomel team. Teams from Physics and Mathematics Department (Project “Victory through the Life”) and Mozyr State Medical College (Project “Sisters of Charity”) won the third prize.

The second day of the Forum was devoted to the solution of current problems which face representatives of Gomel Region Committee of “Belarusian State Youth Union” and members of Student Self-Administration of the University .

At the end of the forum all the participants did the sightseeing in the historical parts of Mozyr.
