Scientific Workshop “Acoustooptical and Photoacoustic Transformation of Waves in Crystals”

On April 22, 2015 within the frame of the “Week of Youth Science” a workshop “Acoustooptical and Photoacoustic Transformation of Waves in Crystals” was held at EE MSPU named after I.P.Shamyakin. Professor Kulak, organizer of the workshop, told the students of Physics and Mathematics Department about the investigations pursuing at his scientific school.

The research has being held for 5 years already within the framework of State Programme of Scientific Research “Electronics and Photonics”. The main aim is to perform scientific and technical computation in order to determine new physical phenomena and principles appropriate in the development of acoustooptical and acousto-electronic devices. Some peculiarities have been found in the laboratory “Acoustooptics and Optoelectronics”.
The research has been done with the participation of students, master’s degree students and post graduate students who defended their dissertations and graduation works successfully. The most prominent of post graduates A. Matveeva, A. Anisimova, G.Kroh contributed to scientific research and got President’s fellowships and were awarded a grant of the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Belarus.
