On September 1, 2015 Administration, academic staff and students of MSPU named after I.P.Shamyakin celebrated the beginning of Academic Year 2015-2016 and Knowledge Day.
As tradition demanded celebratory assembly was held at the university. The first words of welcome were given to MSPU Rector, Doctor of Biological Sciences, Professor, Valentin Valetov. He called prospective teachers for enthusiasm, insistence and a proactive approach to life.

Some special guests, such as a public servant Sergey Gvozd, a clergy member Archpriest Alexander, a bank director Oleg Sosnovets were invited to congratulate the students and academic staff on this big day. Freshmen were given the symbols of studentship: a key to knowledge and a student ticket.
Launching the student canteen “Mill of Taste” became one of the important moments of the celebratory assembly.
