On October 02, 2015 IV International Shamyakin’s Readings “Writer – Person-Time” were held at MSPU named after I.P.Shamyakin. The main objective of the conference was to honour the memory of “the Prominent Son the Belarusian land, Unique Writer and Bright Cultural Figure” Ivan Shamyakin.

The plenary meeting started with the welcome speech of Ludmila Ismaylova, Dean of Philology Department. She singled out the importance of science and research activity, student initiative and self-management at the establishments of Higher Education.
50 well-known researchers (26 candidates of science and doctors of science included) from Belarus and Russia participated in the conference. Representatives of Gomel Eparchy (Belarusian Orthodox Church) were invited to attend the affair. It helped to nominate the conference status as a cultural and educational affair.
Ivan Shamyakin’s Literary and Social Activities are determinated as an instance of honesty, responsibility and a reference of how to identify priority in life. Thuswise, the reports of the participants were devoted to general regularities of Modern Literary Studies, Language, History and Pedagogics.
