The meeting began with the Hymn of studentship “Gaudeamus”. It helped to create special atmosphere of unity and sodality.

Vasily V. Shepelevich noticed that any scientist should have been a man of education, has got expertise in the field of his knowledge and has possessed a property of creation.

At his time Prof. Shepelevich had to decide what profession to choose: to become a physicist or a journalist. Although Prof. Shepelevich preferred science to writing, he still feels like a lyric writer.

Furthermore Prof. Shepelevich reminded that the UN General Assembly 68th Session proclaimed 2015 as the International Yeah of Light and Light-based Technologies (IYL 2015). As we all know, light plays a vital role in our daily lives and is an imperative cross-cutting discipline of science in the 21st century. It has revolutionized medicine, opened up international communication via the Internet, and continues to be central to be linking cultural, economic and political aspects of the global society.

Much attention was paid to Vasily V. Shepelevich’s Scientific School. At the premises of Coherent Optics and Holography Laboratory 9 Candidates of Physico-Mathematical Sciences were trained. Then Professor had an exchange of confidence of how to train people who would work further in the sphere of higher education.

The administration of the University accords a thank to Prof. Shepelevich who has made a great contribution to training of young scholars, development of MSPU named after I.P.Shamyakin and the Belarusian Scientific Society.
