2017 PROCLAIMED “THE YEAR OF SCIENCE” IN BELARUS

Alexander Lukashenko, the President of the Republic of Belarus, signed an executive order “About Proclamation of 2017 as the Year of Science”.
This document is devoted to enhancement of Science position in social and economic environment of Belarus. This decision will be oriented to execution of scientific achievements for further purpose of high-priority tasks; arrangements of favorable conditions for conservation and development of scientific capability; formation of international image of Belarus as a country whose intellectual and human capital assets are high.

The governmental body in cooperation with the National academy of Science, executive committees, Minsk city executive committee is going to develop and establish the State Activity Plan for Science Year-2017. Engagement established between science and social - economic sphere, innovative activity, international scientific and technical cooperation will be shown in this plan.
Implementation of the plan will make it possible to develop national scientific schools, university and regional science and will promote the increase of Belarusian scientific capability, support of creative thinkers, young scientists and specialists and their patriotic upbringing.
