On September 01, 2017 Mozyr State Pedagogical University flung open its doors to the new generation of students.
Valentin Valetov, Rector of the University, Doctor of Biological Sciences, Professor, Honoured worker of Education on the Republic of Belarus, opened the ceremony. He congratulated the teaching staff and all the students on the beginning of Academic Year 2017-2018 and requested everybody to participate in research, sport, social projects.

Sergey Gvozd, Chairman of Mozyr District Deputy Council, and Gennady Nesterenya, Father Superior at Segrey Radonezhsky Temple, congratulated the students on Knowleadge Day – 2017.
Sergey Gvozd presented Olga Dubodel, Head of International Department, and Vyacheslav Gorovoy, Docent of the Chair for Theory and Methodology of Physical Education, with ceremonial certificates.
As tradition demanded the freshmen were given the symbols of studentship: “Key of Knowleadge” and “Student ID-Card”. Maria Kravhuck, 1st year student, Philology Department, who got 373 points in total subsequent to the results of Centralized Testing, took these symbols from the hands of Ilona Kolosovskaya, Graduate of Philology Department, Holder of the Special Scholarship provided by the Fund for Support of Talented Students established by the President of the Republic of Belarus.
