KHATYN IS A SACRED OBJECT OF NATIONAL CONSCIOUSNESS

On April 10, 2018 science to research seminar “Khatyn is a sacred object of national consciousness” was conducted at the premises of Philology Department. The seminar was devoted to the 75th anniversary of the tragedy. The main objective was to develop civic consciousness and community spirit of younger generations.
Bachelor degree students, master’s degree students, members of academic staff participated in the seminar. A. Artyushko lectured on “Khatyn and her sisters. Tragedy and memory”. P. Zhuck lectured on “Memorial complex “Khatyn”: story behind””. I.Petrushenko lectured on “Loose ash of the history: recolloections of the witness”. O.Stoma lectured on “Retribution operations fulfilled by Wehrmacht: sequences”.

Within the literature and art contest “The bells still ring in Khatyn” the following students were congratulated on the victory: Tatsiana Koydan (1st prize), Irina Yurchenko (2nd prize), Arsenia Tsupa (3rd prize).
All the participants came to the conclusion that Khatyn was a symbol of our naitonal consciousness and an image of piece in the world.
