PROFESSIONAL CULTURE OF A MODERN TEACHER: THEORY TO PRACTICE

26-8On March 21, 2019 Round-table discussion “Professional culture of a modern teacher: theory and practice” was held at the premises of MSPU named after I.P.Shamyakin. MSPU students and teachers (Ludmila Ismailova, Tatsiana Tatarinova), Elena Sazanchuk, Training Sector, pupils from “Secondary school 1 in Mozyr” participated in the discussion.

26-8On March 21, 2019 Round-table discussion “Professional culture of a modern teacher: theory and practice” was held at the premises of MSPU named after I.P.Shamyakin. MSPU students and teachers (Ludmila Ismailova, Tatsiana Tatarinova), Elena Sazanchuk, Training Sector, pupils from “Secondary school 1 in Mozyr” participated in the discussion.The following questions were discussed:

What does professional culture consist of?

Culture of communication established between teachers;

Professional and personal qualities of a modern teacher;

Style and professional mastery of a teacher;

Young teacher: what is his way to profession.

Ludmila Ismailova, PhD in Pedagogics, Associate Professor, opened the meeting and singled out that teaching profession consisted of diverse and complicated professional functions, specific teaching activity, high demand to competence, personal qualities and professional culture of prospective teachers.

Tatsiana Tatarinova, PhD in Philolgy, Associate professor, presented a report “How prospective teachers see a modern teacher”. K. Katryuk, U. Yagmurova, 4th year students spoke about their personal experience of being a trainee teachers. Vivid discussion among the participants of the meeting proved the fact that the students were competent about the topic, they were aware of the position of the modern school, young teachers, professional culture, possible changes. At the end of the discussion all the participants expressed their wish to conduct such affairs as often as possible.
