INTERNSHIP AT SUMMER CAMPS – 2019: FINAL CONFERENCE

On September 11, 2019 Final conference for internship at summer camp – 2019 was held at the premises of Preschool and Elementary Education department. It is important to mention that internships at summer camps are traditionally arranged for MSPU 3rd year students.
Internship is a great opportunity for students to upgrade their professional skills, because they are responsible for the life of the children, their physical, psychological and moral well-being. MSPU students act as activity counselors at summer camps.
The contents of the internship includes the creation of a children team, to get the methodology for community tasks, games and contests, sport affairs; to create and follow a specific model of summer camp shifts.
The main objectives:
– to treat teaching activity with respect;
– to systemize the knowledge, skills and competence the students have and master them in practice;
– to obtain useful professional knowledge for further work with children at school.
The students said they were amazed by the internship, because they were provided with a chance to be independent and creative. They fulfilled the function of the chief organizers and the authorities for management and arrangement of all the events.
