On February 25, 2020 Online career guidance event was held at the premises of MSPU named after I.P.Shamyakin. The representatives of the Department of History and Social Sciences talked to the 10th-11th pupils from the State Educational Establishment “Secondary School No.6 in Svetlogorsk”. The main objective of the event was to attract the school leavers to apply to MSPU named after I.P.Shamyakin and to upgrade the image of MSPU in the society. MSPU students prepared a movie “Mozyr is a city of students”. Power-point presentation devoted to the International projects and scientific research was shown to the pupils. Marina Shcherbin, PhD in Pedagogics, spoke about the bachelor degree programs available in 2020 and the admission regulations. Much attention was paid to great value of Historical education, because it develops critical thinking and broadens professional horizons.
