DOORS OPEN DAY AT TECHNOLOGY AND BIOLOGY FACULTY

Doors open day was held at Technology and Biology Department on April 10, 2021. More than 60 people participated in this offline event. The school graduates and the teachers from “Yanka Kupala upper secondary school in Mozyr”, Mozyr State Regional Lyceum, Secondary School № 7 in Mozyr, Secondary School № 11 in Mozyr, Secondary School № 13 in Mozyr, Secondary School № 15 in Mozyr, Kozenky Secondary School, Secondary School № 3 in Kalinkovichi were invited.
All the participants were given promotional materials and were informed about antiepidemic measures. Elena Tikhonova, Dean of Technology and Biology Faculty, greeted the participants and told them about the History and traditions of the faculty, peculiarities of training, paid some attention to the organization of the educational process held at the faculty, specific features of Admission campaign 2021, possibilities for creative activities and sport.
MSPU students from Technology and Biology Faculty presented the creative performance “Rainbow of talents” including a fashion runway walk, songs and theatrical performance.
When the main part was completed, the guests were divided into several groups and made a tour around the University just to feel the atmosphere of students’ life and to participate in interactive activities.
The guests were deeply amazed by the workshop on Cytology held by Nikolay Lebedev. It was possible to use microscopic slides, to take pictures and make a recording of this data. A wide range of workshops were presented i.e. “Specimen preparation”, “A magic trip to the world of Chemistry”, “Easter post-card”, “Icing”.
The administration of Technology and Biology Department hopes that door open days will become a good tradition promoting better cooperation between secondary schools and the University.
