DEVELOPMENT OF COMPETENCIES FOR SUBJECT AND METHODOLOGY WITH REGARD TO NEW CONTENTS OF STANDARDS IN EDUCATION

On November 04, 2019 Research-to-Practice seminar “DEVELOPMENT OF COMPETENCIES FOR SUBJECT AND METHODOLOGY WITH REGARD TO NEW CONTENTS OF STANDARDS IN EDUCATION” was held at the premises of Technology and Biology Department; chief organizer: Chair of Technological education. Labour teachers from Mozyr and Mozyr District were invited.

The following topics were discussed at the seminar:

1. Labour training in Modern school: problems and perspectives.

Concept fundamentals of labour training in the Republic of Belarus and Russian Federation with regard to integration in Secondary education and Technological education.

Analysis of perspectives of labour training in Modern school: academic plans, division of academic hours when “Labour training” and “Technology” are taught at Form 5 – Form 9.

2. Fundamentals of educational process organization and ways to form academic skills and competencies with regard to new concepts of standards in education when “Labour training. Technical labour” is studied. Production of new tools and designs. Materials, drafting instruments, tools, equipment for study, labour protection, safety rules, types of graphical, technological, construction tasks, peculiarities of theoretical and practical types, evaluation criteria with regard to creative component.

3. Labour training in Modern school: problems and perspectives. Analysis of perspectives of labour training in Modern school, division of academic hours at Form 5 – Form 9 when “Labour training. Service work” is trained. Peculiarities to form new skills and competencies for new academic disciplines.

4. Peculiarities of training when a pupils is getting ready for further participation in the State academic contest in Labour training. Methodology of ranking. Principles and methods in crocheting art. Art and technological peculiarities of textile processing.

At the end of the seminar all the participants summed up the results in the open discussion and expressed their gratitude to the administration of Technology and Biology Department for a great opportunity to debate and meet the colleagues.
